Tibetan Leader Calls for Second Special Meeting of Tibetan Exiles

The Tibetan-Parliament-in-Exile and the Tibetan cabinet has called for a second special meeting of Tibetan exile delegates for a three-day meeting scheduled for end of September in Dharamsala.

Speaking at a press conference, the Tibetan exile leader Lobsang Sangay said the meeting will hold extensive brainstroming discussions on initating Tibet support actions in light of the bleak situation inside Tibet. Around 500 delegates of all Tibetan exile communities and political organizations are expected to convene at the meeting.

In 2008, the Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama called for the first special meeting to discuss the future course of Tibet action following March 2008 unrest.
