Unexpectedly large numbers of early arrivals for the Dalai Lama’s Kalachakra teaching in Bodh Gaya are facing problems ranging from the lack of basic services in the 4000 tent encampment, to the absence of medical clinics.
The Health department of the Central Tibetan Administration had not expected people to start congregating in Bodh Gaya until later in December and are yet to open their health clinics. Tenzin Norsang, Joint Secretary of Central Tibetan Youth Congress, who is overseeing the volunteer services being carried out by their organization said, “It will be of great help if health clinics were opened as soon as possible” The Health Department has pushed up the opening date of the clinics from December 30th to the 27th.
