Thousands of people attended the Dalai Lama’s talk on “Inner peace” in Paris Sunday evening. The Tibetan leader told the crowd that peace within individual is the first step for world peace. He said that altruism or helping others will have help to achieve inner peace within individual. The Dalai Lama also said that every human being has the potential to achieve one’s dream regardless of one’s race. He said that once he was visiting an African family in Saotoa, South Africa, the father of the family was a teacher. But he believed that the whites were superior in terms of intelligence. The Dalai Lama said that finally he was able to convince this man that the race had nothing to do with “how smart you are.” So he said that “ it is very important to think positive and what ever goal you have; you have to work hard for it.”
