"Leaving Fear Behind" New Documentary Film on Tibet བོད་སྐད།

At Press Club of India, a new documentary film titled 'Leaving Fear Behind' was screened. This film is about the real feelings of Tibetans inside Tibet.

The filmmaker Dhondup Wangchen and his helper Golog Jigme were detained for secretly interviewing and filming Tibetan people in Tibet.

Tendon Dahortsang who introduced the film said that the tapes were transported to Switzerland where Dhondup Wangchen's cousin Gyaljong Tsetrin put the final cut together.

25 minute long documentary film contains views on Chinese rule in Tibet; Olympic Games and on the Dalai Lama.

Dhondup Wangchen's wife Lhamo Tso and his brother Dorjee Wangchen who fled Tibet in 2007 were present at the press briefing.

Lhamo Tso said " I appeal to the Chinese Government to release Dhondup. I urge the IOC to use their influence on China so that the host of the Olympic Games remains true to its promise of freedom of expression to the people,"
