Indian Police Find 10 Unexploded Bombs in Gujarat State བོད་སྐད།

Indian police have found 10 unexploded bombs in western Gujarat state, where a series of explosions killed at least 45 people last week.

A senior police official (H.P. Singh) said seven of the bombs have been defused, and that police are working to disarm the three others.

The bombs were all found Tuesday in the city of Surat, a major diamond polishing center.

In the same city Sunday, police found a car carrying explosive material.

Authorities have intensified their efforts to identify security threats since a series of bombs exploded in Gujarat's city of Ahmedabad on Saturday. At least 45 people were killed in the coordinated attacks.

A little-known group called "Indian Mujahedin" claimed responsibility for the attacks. Police are investigating the claim.
