Historical Background of Arunachal Pradesh Border Dispute Between India and China

China has vociferously protested against the United States Ambassador to India, Mr. Richard Verma’s visit to its eastern border state, Arunachal Pradesh and has also protested against the forthcoming visit of Dalai Lama to the state. India has rebuffed China’s criticism by stating that since Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India, any Indian or India’s guest can visit the area.
