The Dalai Lama inaugurated the 3-day Summer Religious Council of Ladakh at Thiksay Monastery, which is located around 17kilometers from Leh, Ladakh on August 9, 2016.
The 102nd Gaden Tripa Rizong Rinpoche and Ling Chogtrul Rinpoche were present at the inaugural ceremony of religious council as guests.
Religious leaders representing Shia and Sunni Muslim community in Ladakh along with large number of elders and school children of their community also attended the first day of the Buddhist religious council.
