Dorjee Tsering, 10th standard student of Tibetan Homes Foundation, Mussoorie set himself ablaze around 9:00 am February 29, 2016 at Lakhanwala Tibetan settlement near Herbertpur Tibetan settlement in Dehradun, Uttarkhand State. He is 16 years old.
"I saw him shouting 'Tibet is Free Country' while engulfed in flames," says Thupten Tashi, the father of the teen aged boy.
He is said to be critical with 95% burn and currently undergoing treatment in the burn ward of Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi.
