Three Tibetan writers and poets were invited to the 5th edition of the "Indian Language Festival" held at the India Habitat Center, New Delhi from November 26-29, 2015.
In the presence of around 100 Indian writers, poets, folk artistes, and musicians, Bhuchung D Sonam, Tenzin Tsundue, and Tsering Wangmo Dhompa recited poems written on their nostalgia, ambivalence, and struggle for a free Tibet.
"Tibetan language is our identity and English is the language of my struggle," says Tenzin Tsondue, Tibetan writer and artist, when asked about reasonings for writing his pieces in English.
Indian writers and poets from 20 different Indian languages were invited to this festival.
