Inspite of facing a number of daunting challenges, the film makers in exile Tibetan community are making a variety of movies ranging from documentaries on Tibetan language, culture, political issues and also full length feature films on Tibet related themes and stories. Most of them are facing problem in raising funds for their film projects, CD and DVD piracy and difficulty in getting good actors. This week’s Table Talk invites Tsering Dhondup, Director of Mystic Mountain and Tashi Wangchu, Director of Richard Gere is my Hero to discuss issues relating to film making in the exile world.
