The sixth Tibetan General Conference on Education was held recently in Dharamsala. The three day conference was attended by over 236 participants comprising of principals, directors, teachers, and counselors from 76 Tibetan schools from India and Nepal. Conference held a detailed and in-depth discussion on three key issues: teachers’ development, primary education improvements, and the effective implementation of the basic education policy. Table Talk discusses the significance of the conference and issues discussed during the conference.
