First International Buddhist Confederation
First conclave of the International Buddhist Confederation was held in New Delhi, India from September 9 to 12, which was attended by 200 delegates from around 40 different countries. The conclave has appointed the Dalai Lama as one of the 12 chief patrons of the confederation and former Kalon Tripa Prof. Samdong Rinpoche as one of the eighth President of the Governing Body and Lodi Gyaltsen Gyari Rinpoche as one of the global envoys of the permanent standing committees of ICB.
