"Service-committee to Tenzin Delek Rinpoche," a comittee comprising of his followers and students launched a DVD on November 25, 2013 appealing the world to support the immediate release of Tulku Tenzin Delek Rinpoche. Rinpoche was arrested by the Chinese authorities and sentenced to death after being convicted for his alleged involvement in a series of unsolved bombings in his region of Garze, Sichuan Province on April 7, 2002. His sentence was later changed to life in imprisonment after protests and pleas made by various human rights organizations.

The DVD was released by Deputy Speaker of Tibetan Parliament in Exile. At the gathering of representatives from Tibetan Parliament, NGOs and Associations in Dharamsala, Geshe Nyima, a close friend and relative of Tulku Tenzin Delek spoke about his situation in the last 11 years. He urged everyone to take serious action in appealing the concerned offices and organizations to press China for immediate release of Tenzin Delek Rinpoche, as his health deteriorates.

Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, the deputy speaker applauded the campaigns initiated by his followers inside Tibet and asked exile Tibetans to follow them in urging the UN bodies and representatives of International government. They screened the DVD which contained concerns and appeals from theTibetan religious and political heads regarding Tenzin Delek Rinpoche's situation.
