Central Tibetan Administration’s Department of Religion and Culture held public prayer session for late Tsewang Dorjee who is reported to have died after setting himself on fire on July 7.

Hundreds of Tibetans attended the prayer sessions presided by Kirti Rinpoche, the chief abbot of Kirti Monastery.

Tsering Wangchuk, head of Dharamsala's Department of Health paid respect to the deceased and offered condolences to the family members. He held China’s hardline policy responsible for the ongoing spate of Tibetan self-immolations.
