Interview with Tenzin Nangsel, Tsultrim Tsomo, Tenzin Zhingsang, and Nyima Lhamo, who were among the 130 or so participants of the just-concluded two days’ Tibet Lobby at the Capitol Hill. The Tibet Lobby day is an annual event organized by the International Campaign for Tibet, Washington, D.C. Nangsel and his group said that they are all first-time Lobbyists, and that they enjoyed the experience and learned much about governing and the power of lobbying. Lhamo said that she was most grateful for the patience of the Congressional staff and the representatives, which gave her group plenty time to talk and ask questions. Tsomo said that she would certainly recommend other young folks to participate in future Tibet Lobby events. All the participants expressed their joy in being at our VOA studios for the interview, which they said, is an experience they will remember for a long time.
