Yeshi Kelsang, Animal Crusader

While it is customary for Tibetans to give to the poor, and even buy animals for release from slaughter , it’s not often that you find someone dedicating themselves to animal welfare. That’s what makes Yeshi Kelsang and the ‘Doon Tibetan Animal Lover’, a group he formed with like-minded friends in the Dehra Dun area, so extraordinary. The group works to get stray dogs vaccinated, and transports sick animals to animal hospitals.
