Study Shows One Third of Young Chinese Men Will Die From Smoking

A new study says a third of all men currently under the age of 20 in China will die prematurely if they continue smoking. Currently there are 300 million smokers in China. In 2010, about a million people died from smoking and the study warns that by 2050 the number could triple. The Chinese government has recently begun a various cities, including Beijing, designated smoking bans. However, experts question the effectiveness of it. Chinese health officials says the smoking issue might not be priority for the Chinese lawmakers.
