Dhingang Tsering Samphel: Lama Maniwa

Possibly the last Lama Maniwa practicing today, Dhingang Tsering Samphel has toured across Nepal, Ladakh, and more recently in the US, bringing Thangka paintings to life and illuminating the Buddha Dharma through stories, rhymes and verses. Samphel tells VOA that he is concerned that young people today don’t seem to have much interest in the rich Lama Mani tradition.
