Namgyal Lhamo Taklha, Author

After almost three decades of service in the exile Tibetan government, ‘Namlha’ Taklha, wife of His Holiness’ late older brother, Lobsang Samten, helped establish and served as the Director of Songtsen Library, a center for Tibetan and Himalayan Studies in Dehradun. Taklha is the author of two books, Born in Lhasa and Women of Tibet, and she is currently working on a new title, Tibetan Costumes and Jewelry, which is expected to come out in 2015.
