Tibetan Monk Arrested for Protest in Sertha

The Chinese police arrested a Tibetan monk Sunday morning around 10:30 am for staging a protest in Serta county of Sichuan province. 20 years old Phuntsok Youngney was arrested by security personnel after he shouted slogans calling for long life of the Dalai Lama at Sertha Square. Eyewitnesses in the area say that Phuntsok also threw some pamphlets as he shouted slogans. The contents of the leaflets are not yet known.
