VOA Interviews: Tamding Tsetan, Tattoo Artist

Tamding Tsetan grew up in a nomadic family in Amdo without any formal education. He now runs a popular tattoo parlor in Dharamsala and also is a relief painter, musician and a successful entrepreneur. As the first Tibetan tattoo professional, Tamding talks about his activism work through tattooing, challenges of introducing tattoo artwork in the Tibetan community culture and his other Tibet-related initiatives.
