US, China to Discuss Economic, Strategic Interests

The United States says U.S. and Chinese officials will meet in July to discuss issues of economic and strategic interest faced by both countries.

The U.S. State Department and U.S. Treasury Department announced Saturday that the fifth meeting of the U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue will run from July 8 to 12 in Washington.

A U.S. statement said Secretary of State John Kerry and Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew will be joined by their respective Chinese co-chairs, along with members of the Chinese and U.S. delegations.

The meeting will focus on the immediate and long-term challenges and opportunities for both countries.
