Dalai Lama, the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader, arrived in Los Angeles, Southern California from San Jose on February 26, 2014.
Immediately upon his arrival, the Dalai Lama went to the Inglewood Forum venue to deliver a public talk on "Non Violence and the Effects of Compassion in the 21st Century," which was attended by thousands of people.
"Brothers, sisters, and younger brothers and sisters, I'm very happy to be here. We all have the same potential for good and bad. We all want to live a happy life and have the right to do so," said the Dalai Lama
He further talked about the development of compassion, and the role of tolerance and forgiveness in creating a healthy and harmonious society.
