Dalai Lama Leaves for New Zealand and Australia

Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama left Dharamsala Sunday for a two-week long visit to New Zealand and Australia.

Dalai Lama’s private secretary Chime Rigzin Choekyapa said the spiritual leader will participate in the memorial service for the victims of the February earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand.

The Dalai Lama will then visit Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth in Australia where he is scheduled to hold a series of public talks, teachings and meeting with the local Tibetan and Chinese community.

This is Tibetan leader's 5th visit to New Zealand and 6th visit to Australia. The Dalai Lama will return to Dharamsala on June 21, 2011.
