Dalai Lama Begins 3-Day Teaching for Tibetan Students


Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama began his 3 day teachings on introductory Buddhism at the Tibetan Children's Village School in Dharamsala today.
The 3-day teachings from June 1-3 is being attended by around thousands of Tibetan students from all over India and abroad.

Today, the Dalai Lama spoke on Nagarjuna's Drops of Nourishment for People and held hours of question and answer sessions about with the students. Tomorrow, the 76-year-old Buddhist leader will teach Tsongkhapa's In Praise of the Buddha for His Teaching on Dependent Arising. On the morning of June 3, the Dalai Lama will confer a Manjushri Empowerment.

The annual 'Introduction to Buddhism' teaching is being held at the request of Tibetan students and is primarily meant for Tibetan youngtsers to better understand Buddhism at an academic level.
