Amnye Machen Institute, a Tibetan centre for advanced studies, celebrated it's 20th anniversary in Dharamsala today. Founding members of this exile Tibetan research institute, scholars and members of the Tibetan parliament attended the two inaugural exhibitions.
Academic Director of Amnye Machen Tashi Tsering spoke on past achievements and challenges of the insitute. Tsering said they have published 23 books since their 15th anniversary celebration and 4 books remains yet to be published. Tashi Tsering introduced Thinley as the new director of the institute.
Well-known exile writers and critics Jamyang Norbu and Lhasang Tsering, both founding members and former directors of the centre, spoke of their early experience in working for Amnye Machen.
