Dalai Lama Urges Forgiveness, Reconciliation in Korean Peninsula - 2004-11-03

Tibet's exiled spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, has called on all Koreans to seek forgiveness and reconciliation.

In a videotaped message released this week, the Dalai Lama said it was unfortunate that the Korean Peninsula was divided into North and South. He also noted that disputes arise within South Korea due to differences in faith, religion and understanding.

The Dalai Lama said that all conflicts on the Korean Peninsula can be resolved humanely and peacefully if Koreans understand that the world is one family.
