Congressional Briefing on Tibetan Women's Role in Tibet Movement - 2003-11-02

Former Tibetan Political Prisoner Ngawang Sangdrol on October 31, 2003 informed the United States Congress about the gap between Chinese rules and their implementation in Tibet. In her remarks before the Congressional Human Rights Caucus, Sangdrol said it was only after coming to the United States that she learnt of the rights that the Chinese Constitution guaranteed to prisoners, none of which were being implemented on Tibetan political prisoners.
