Tibetan stringer Tsering Migmar reported that the Dalai Lama warned Buddhist monks Sunday in Dharmsala about the excessive love for wealth. He cited a scripture that said that one of the reasons for the decline of Buddhism in India was because of the monks’ excessive love for wealth. People lose faith in Buddhism when the monks stray away from good conduct. The Tibetan leader warned the monks to be extra careful and urged them to set a good example.
