International Tibet Support Groups Meet in Delhi བོད་སྐད།


The Tibet support groups concluded their two day meeting in Delhi Monday. "The Meeting reaffirmed the recognition of the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Government-in-exile as the pre-eminent and legitimate representatives of the Tibetan people," says Secretary of International Relations Mr. Sonam Norbu Dagpo after the concluding session of the Special International Tibet Support Group held at Gurgaon from 29th November to 1st December 2008.

The Tibetan Prime Minister Kalon Tripa Samdhong Rinpoche addressed the meeting and said, "The Tibetan struggle is not a power struggle. Who so ever rules Tibet, we have no difference. We very clearly offered that China can rule Tibet. What we talk about is the quality of rule." Former Chief Justice of Supreme Court of India, J.S. Verma and Ambassador Ranjit Gupta also addressed the concluding session of the meeting.
