His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s visit to the US བརྙན་འཕྲིན།

On his first visit to the US since widespread protests erupted across Tibet, The Dalai Lama visited Seattle, Minnesota and Ann Arbor, Michigan, taking part in seminars, addressing Tibetan groups, speaking to arena audiences and meeting with Undersecretary Paula Dobriansky, the US Special coordinator on Tibet, to whom he expressed gratitude for past US support and reiterated his request for US help in resolving the situation in Tibet.

In an effort to reach out to the Chinese people as a follow up to his statement to them released on March 27, 2008, His Holiness held a news conference for Chinese media in Seattle, and personally met with a group of Chinese students in Minnesota.

To report on and discuss the visit, Kunleng TV invites Mr. Tashi Wangdi, US representative of the Dalai Lama, and Tibetan Service reporters, Gyaltsen Tsering and Phuntsok Tsering who covered the visit.
