Dalai lama Speaks on Ethics and Business བོད་སྐད།

An audience of around 1000 teachers and students of Indian Institute of Management (IIM-A) in Ahmedabad, India. His Holiness stressed the importance of motivation in all fields of activities in life. He said that according to Buddhist philosophy, all phenomena are empty by nature, at the same time money is important. But when your mind is occupied with only profit motive then that will create exploitation and corruption in the society. So here comes ethics to counteract. It can be cultivated in one's day-to-day life, whether one is atheist or non-atheist or non-believer.

Answering a question, he said "We have been homeless since half a century, we have found new homes in different countries including India." And the Indian government had helped Tibetans in setting up schools and institutions in India "to carry on with the Tibetan spirit and identity".

Dalai Lama also answered questions on various topics including philosophy, religion and whether he thought there was life in outer space.
