A meeting was held in Dharamsala at which the representatives of Tibetan Buddhist schools and Kalon Tsering Phuntsok, the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs' Department participated. The speakers slammed China on its new regulations on Reincarnation that came into effect on September 1, 2007 and urged China to respect freedom of faith as enshrined in the Chinese constitution and withdraw the regulations forthwith.
