AIDS cases rising in Tibet because of increasing number of prostitutions from China. Tibet's Center of Disease and Prevention's Deputy director Yuzhan Lhaco reported three AIDS death in TAR on June 16. He also added that the AIDS cases rose from last year 30 to 41 this year. Beijing based WHO's HIV/AIDS team leader, Mr. Wiwat Rojanapithayakorn says the organization plans to release a comprehensive reports on AIDS in China and Tibet next month.
