Tibetans Celebrate the 112th Birth Anniversary of the Founder of Four Rivers, Six Ranges Resistance

Andrugtsang Gonpo

The US Regional Dhokham Chushi Gangdrug, also known as Four Rivers Six Ranges Resistance, organized the 112th birth anniversary of Dzasak Gonpo Tashi Andrugtsang in New York City on February 11, 2017.

In an interview with the General Secretary of Dokham Chushi Gangdrug, India, Chamra Gyaltsen talked about the four major purposes of their visit; to learn from the public and the regional executive members about the workings of the regional chapter, to pay a visit and honor the site where the freedom fighters were trained at the military base camp in Colorado, to present an urgent appeal to the United Nations about the issue of Tibet, and to strengthen the relationship between the United States and the organization which they had since the day when CIA trained the Chushi Gangdrug Tibet resistance forces.

Listen to VOA's reporter Namgyal Norbu's coverage on the event that took place in NYC with the visiting executive members of the Central Dhokham Chushi Gangdrug, based in New Delhi, India.
