"Cycle Rally for Panchen Lama" organized by the Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) from Dehradun to New Delhi ended on May 23, the day China forced Tibetan representatives to sign the "17 Point Agreement" in 1951.

"Ending the rally on May 23 will highlight the facts about the 17 point agreement and our position which is we do not accept the agreement as it was signed under duress," says TYC Vice President Tamdin Hrichoe.

The main demand of the TYC cycle rally was to urge China to give evidence that the 11th Panchen Lama Gedun Choekyi Nyima is still alive.

47 youth activists from 9 TYC regional chapters covered a distance of around 300 km from Dehradun, capital city of Uttarkhand state before ending the rally at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi.
