The Dalai Lama participated in the "Conference on Quantum Physics and Madhyamika Philosophical View" organized by the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and co-sponsored by the Dalai Lama Trust in New Delhi, India on November 12, 2015.
Scientists and philosophers from Europe, USA, India and Tibetan monk scholars were invited to the conference, including Professor Arthur G. Zajonc and Professor Bob Thurman from USA, Professor Michel Bitbol from France, Professor N. Mukunda from Bangalore India, among others.
The first session of the conference was chaired by Professor N Mukunda, followed by Professor Geshe Ngawang Samten, Former Vice Chancellor of Central University of Tibetan Studies, Varanasi leading the second session.
Around 500 students and teachers of JNU attended the inaugural session of the the 2-day conference, where the Vice Chancellor Professor S.K. Sopory welcomed the participants.
