Tibetans in Delhi Celebrate 55th Democracy Day

Tibetans residing in Delhi began the 55th Democracy Day celebration with chanting of prayers and burning of incense for the victory of Dharma protectors at the TCV Day School, Samyeling Tibetan Colony in Majnu ka Tila, Delhi.

Tsewang Gyalpo, Secretary of the Office of the Dalai Lama and chief guest of the event read out messages of the Tibetan cabinet and urged the public to take active participation in the forthcoming Tibetan parliamentarian elections.

"In order to make the Tibetan Administration in exile strong, it is important for the public to participate in the forthcoming elections of Sikyong and Chitue," says Gyalpo.
