Tibetans in Delhi tried to protest in front of the Chinese Embassy in Delhi upon the arrival of Chinese foreign minister in Delhi on June 9, 2014.

Led by the Tibetan Youth Congress, Tibetan activists in the area tried to proceed to the Chinese Embassy, but around 200 Delhi police personnel came down to the Tibetan Colony in Majnu-Ka-Tilla, and blocked their way. They were later allowed to protest only on the main highway just outside the colony.

"Earlier we got permission to go to China Embassy, but they didn't allow us to proceed, so we are protesting on the road," says Tenzin Jigme, President of the Central Tibetan Youth Congress Executive based in Dharamsala, north India.
