Golog Jigme, a Tibetan political prisoner arrested in 2008 for his role in assisting a Tibetan filmmaker Dhondup Wangchen on his documentary, 'Leaving Fear Behind' escaped to India from Tibet recently on May 24, 2014. The Tibetan Center for Human Rights and Democracy based in Dharamsala, North India in collaboration with the Swiss-based organization Filming for Tibet held a press conference today for Golog Jigme, also known as Jigme Gyatso, where he spoke about the horrific details of physical torture and mental trauma that he suffered under the Chinese officials during his imprisonment.
