The Dalai Lama started a 3-day teaching to Korean devotees on August 25, 2013 at the Tsuglagkhang temple, Dharamsala, India on the teachings of Tsongkhapa, a famous Tibetan Buddhism teacher from the fourteenth century. The teaching included Tsongkhapa’s Concise Treatises on the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment and an overview of Tantra from Tsongkhapa’s Stages of the Path of Mantrayana.

The teaching was attended by over 200 devotees from Korea, 12 from mainland China, and more than 800 devotees from 61 different countries totaling 5000 including Tibetans.

At the teaching, the Dalai Lama spoke about the importance of religious harmony and self-discipline, and how compassion serves as the root of all happiness.

However, due to the new security measure, no outside electronic gadgets, including FM radios, were allowed within the Temple premises.
