Lobsang Sangay, the head of Tibetan administration in exile, inaugurated Uma Ling Technical Solutions, a new business process outsourcing (BPO) company in Dharamsala, India on August 14, 2013.
Uma Ling is a branch of OKS group, a business process outsourcing company which provides business solutions in the areas of publishing, information and directories, law, health care, business, and BPO solutions. OKS is headquartered in Philadelphia and has offices in India, Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
Sangay said that the 14th Kashag (Tibetan Cabinet) considers this as an important venture where Indo-Tibetan are collaborating in this business. He further highlighted the significance of this project in empowering the youth and further expanding the business in other Tibetan settlements.
