Young Tibetan Monks Call for Dalai Lama's Return


Four young monks from Nyarong (Chinese: Xinlong) county in Kardze (Chinese: Ganzi) called for Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama's return to Tibet.

A video received by the Central Tibetan Administration showed Apo Tashi, 22, Tsering Gyaltsen, 19, Tsering Wangchuk, 22 and Rigzin Dorjee distributing pamphlets and shouting slogans while raising the Tibetan national flags on May 8, 2010.

The video documents a peaceful march of the monks of Guru and Jamjor monastery shouting “Long Live His Holiness the Dalai Lama”, “Tibet is Independent” and “Invite His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Tibet” along the streets.

According to TibetonlineTV, the whereabouts of the four monks are unknown.
