Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama arrived in Yokohama Thursday and met over hundred Japanese university students and educators at a conference hall in Yokohama Grand Hotel. He talked about peace, environment and the role of youth in building a peaceful future.
"During the World War II, Japan has suffered greatly, but out of the tragedy of nuclear bomb, Japanese have come out strongly rebuilding the nation to one of the most develop nations,” the Dalai Lama said, “This is very good, so you are in a very good position to lead the peace movement in this world."
The Dalai Lama arrived in Japan Friday for a ten day visit.
