Dalai Lama in Ireland for 2 Days

Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama arrived in Ireland Tuesday for a two-day visit. His visit was organised by Richard Moore, long time friend of the Dalai Lama.

Moore, who was just 10 years old when he was blinded by a rubber bullet, established Children in Crossfire charity in 1996. The Dalai Lama is the patron of the charity which helps children in developing countries.

The 76-year old Tibetan leader will deliver a special address entitled “The Power of Forgiveness” at the University of Limerick Thursday. 3,100 tickets for the event have already sold out.

This is his third trip to Ireland. His last visit to Ireland was 20 years ago.
