Unrest in Kham Kardze, Tibet བརྙན་འཕྲིན།

Reports of sporadic unrest from Tibet have reached outside from time to time, despite the complete lockdown since March this year - the latest being the unrest in the Karze area of eastern Tibet. Tibetan nuns have taken a leading role and at least six more separate protests since more than 50 nuns were detained after a bold demonstration on May 14. More than 80 nuns have now been detained in the unrest in Kardze, whichthat has continued despite the severe 'anti-separatist' crackdown in Tibetan areas that has been upheld even since the earthquake struck Sichuan on May 12

Today's Tibetan TV Kunleng Special invites two guests, originally from the same area in Tibet, to talk about the most recent unrest mainly by Tibetan Buddhist nuns. One guest join us from Dharamsala, India via webcam and the other from our NY studio.
