Hong Kong-Based Airline Resumes Flights to Nepal

Hong Kong-based airline Dragon Air is set to resume flights to Nepal Sunday after halting service to the central Asian nation more than seven years ago.

Dragon Air is one of at least six international airlines to start or to resume flights to Nepal this year. Silk Air of Singapore and the United Arab Emirates' Etihad Airways launched service to Katmandu in October.

Nepal is experiencing a tourism boom since a peace deal last year ended years of Maoist insurgency.

Nepal's tourism board says the number of tourists flying into the country has risen by more than 30 percent this year.
