A well-known Tibetan Communist Accuses Hawks for Closing Door on Sino-Tibetan Talks

A well-known Tibetan communist has accused Chinese government hawks of closing the door on dialogue with the Dalai Lama and misleading the leadership about the Tibetan leader.

Phuntso Wangye, one of the most well-known Tibetan communist who led the Chinese advance troops into Tibet in 1951, wrote letter to the Cabinet spokesman’s office on July 5, accusing ‘extreme leftists’ in the party are closing the door on Central government’s dialogue with the Dalai Lama.

In the past four years, Phuntso Wangye wrote letters to the Chinese president Hu Jintao and NPC urge Chinese Government to resolve the Tibetan issue with the Dalai Lama.
