Talk to VOA:Nangma

While many new genres of modern Tibetan music have swept through Tibetan communities over the past two decades, traditional forms of music and performance have continued to flourish. One performance group that has set out to revitalize tradtional Tibetan forms is Nangma. Named after one of them most poupular forms of Tibetan song, Nangma is dedicated to the mission of preserving traditional music. On this week's Tibetan TV call-in show, Ms. Kelsang Tethong and Mr. Sonam Tashi from Nangma will join us to discuss the challenges of preserving traditional music in a dynamic and rapidly changing world.
