A delegate of five Tibetan NGOs today submitted a memorandum to the Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi, requesting release of self-immolator Drupchen Tsering's body held by the Nepali authorities.
Rohini Tibetan Youth Congress,Majnu-ka-Tilla Tibetan Youth Congress, Delhi Regional Tibetan Women's Association in Delhi, Dharamsala Regional Tibetan Youth Congress and Students for the Free Tibet submitted the memorandum to the Deputy Secretary of the Nepal Embassy in New Delhi to forward it to the Prime Minister of Nepal.
According to one of the delegates, Nepal government will either cremate or give Drupchen's body to a hospital since the country's law allows hand over of the deceased body's to a family member.
"In the case of Drupchen Tsering, his family members are reported to be in Tibet... Nepalese government is thinking of either to cremate or give Drupchen's body to a hospital." said Tharchin, a representative of Rohini Tibetan Youth Congress after meeting with the Nepal Embassy official
The delegates also submitted a copy of the memorandum to the External Affairs Ministry of India requesting India to push Nepal for the release of Drupchen Tsering's body.
